Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy as known in Spectacular Spiderman, the newest animated series. [link] As you can see, this is my first attempt at doing a fanart of Spectacular Spiderman. Rather choppy, but meh. First tries usually are for me. It started out as just a practice of Peter, but then I added Gwen in and somehow it ended up with Pete seriously taking advantage of his buddy privileges. ;) Not so subtle.


I really love the show. The animation is great, the character designs are adorable (kudos to `cheeks-74) the voice acting is virtually flawless, and the storyline has juicy teen angst now that they've made Petey an out-of-luck not-so-typical Junior in high school. :XD:

But what I'm most pleased about is that they've added Gwen Stacy, which the former Spiderman animated series' didn't do. And it's just as well, too, because Gwen is much more interesting a love interest than Mary Jane Watson any day. :D

i miss this show i wish disney wouldnt have canceled it this was the greatest spiderman series ever and than disney canceled it an gave us this crappy ultimate spiderman

Me too. :) Stan Lee, the creator of Spiderman, actually intended for Gwen and Peter to eventually get married. But the people who signed his paychecks didn't want to make Peter 'seem old' to comic book readers so they killed her off. :c

Your picture is really good for a first fan art. I love it, but i'm still sad that the show stopped because the channel was bought by someone else.

they didn't cancel it, it was bought by disney. they bought the rights for it also.
what makes it worse is there was supposed to be a season 3!
